From Jackson County, Ohio to Saskatchewan, Canada: The Family Album of Anne Gilliland Bristow

Kate's Notes:

Charles Wesley Gilliland, younger brother of my grandfather, George Franklin Gilliland, was born 25 Feb 1873, at Mabees Corner, Jackson Co, Ohio and died 9 Feb 1952, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He is buried at Regina Cemetery.

Charlie moved to Saskatchewan following the divorce from his first wife Lora Harrell, by whom he had three daughters, only one of whom -- Huldah Elizabeth, named for her grandmother -- survived.

In Regina Charley worked as a house painter and for the Canadian Pacific Railroad, painting RR stations and freight sheds. He was married for the second time to Ruby Berniece Lemon by whom he had two children: Charles Thomas and Anne Berniece. Charles Thomas Gilliland never married; Anne became Anne Berniece (Gilliland) Bristow. This still vigorous mother of six lives in Lloydminster, Alberta.
