Fairmont is the largest cemetery in Jackson County with many Gillilands, mostly descendants of Nathan Gilliland of Augusta County, Virginia, interred there. Fairmont is located on the northern edge of the city of Jackson (Fairmont Street) and is easily accessible from State Rt. 35, 93 or 788.
This particular report, submitted by John Benintendi, is for the final resting place of Grace Gillilan Jones, daughter of Coleman and Sarah (Fry) Gillilan. Coleman is among those descendants of James Gillilan, Jr. and Margaret Boggs of Greenbrier County, West Virginia. John also submitted the report and photos for Byrd Cemetery in Highland County, Ohio, where Grace's parents are buried.
