The "terminal" in "Terminal Merchants" refers to the N&W Railway Terminals located in Portsmouth's east end, once among the city's strong industrial base. In the top row, far left, is my father, Clifford Maynard. Standing near the center is my first cousin Bud Huels, son of Edward and Helen (Gilliland) Huels. My father and Bud both served in the Navy during WWII, Dad aboard the aircraft carrier Antietam and Bud in the submarine service. This clipping was from The Portsmouth (Ohio) Times.
