Emeline A. Gilliland – From the collection of Kate Maynard

The original portrait is a tiny, gem-tinted tinype, circa 1860�s. I believe Emeline is seated to the left and a daughter to the right.

On the reverse, in pencil, was written "Emeline A. Gilliland". The second line is very difficult to decipher but appears to be a place name.The closest spelling I could match was "Thistleburg", which as it turns out is a place name in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
