While sorting through a box of papers with my Mother, we discovered a few old photos that she said had belonged to her father. This first photo is a family portrait. Top row, from left: my grandfather, George Franklin Gilliland, his sister Ada, and brother Charley. Seated, from left: my gr-grandfather Washington Gilliland and who may be Jennie Gilliland, the eldest of Washington's children.
