Anne and Roy's first home, 12 miles from the hamlet of Heinsburg, Alberta. Anne writes, "We made our first home on Roy's farm, lived in a little four room log house, no electricity, no running water (just a well) and a near impassable road in spring and fall to the nearest village 12 miles away, Heinsburg. Our neighbors on two sides of us a reserve of Cree Indians. All six of my children were born in the Elk Point (Alberta) hospital, 25 miles away, while we lived in the little log house."

Anne and Roy's six children are: Lanni Roy, Chereth Susan, Timothy Lee, Wanda Beth, and twins Cindy Denise and Wendy Berniece.
